Wisdom

Grace, mercy and peace to you.

Wisdom flees the proud mind
It hides itself from the selfish
The wise are those who live life
Full of love, compassion and care

Wisdom is not gained through books and universities alone, wisdom is gained through living. When you live life and see it through several perspectives that are not just for your self interest, you will learn so much from it and be wise. Selflessness open up yourself for the needs and feelings of each other, while selfishness makes you think only of yourself. How can you learn and be wise from a self centered behavior?

To be wise, you have to know and understand the experience of others and apply it to yourself. A narrow, shortsighted mind doesn’t grow and improve itself because it doesn’t allow itself to grow, being content of what it has, it’s world revolving around itself alone. Do you think that’s good? No, you don’t learn how to live life by just focusing on yourself alone, you have to interact and be with people, in that way you will grow and become wise.

The mystics are not wise, because they isolate themselves, they are wise because they are keen observers of what is going on around them. They know how to listen, in the stillness of their hearts, the voice of wisdom calls. But, not even all mystics have gained true wisdom, when you become so proud of your stature, wisdom is hidden from you. You should be humble to become wise.
