Expressing condolence

Grace, mercy and peace to you.

Condolence is hard to express
Let your presence convey
That their sorrow is shared
That you care …

Message for Oct. 2, 2011.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you comfort a friend who had just lost a loved one, just press their hands and whisper, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” and my healing and comforting presence will course to them through you.

Don’t say awkward words that really don’t bring comfort to the bereaved and makes you uncomfortable. Then seat quietly to pray for the dead that their journey towards Me will be unhampered with their reluctance to leave their earthly existence because of concern for their families.

Being in a wake is uncomfortable because grieving is purely within the constraints of your familiarity and closeness to the deceased and their families.  Sometimes, wakes serve as a joyful but tearful reunion when the departed is remembered with their escapades.

Whatever  it will turn out to be, just remember that your presence brought comfort for the family because by being there, by taking the time off from your daily activities, you are telling them that you care and they are special to you.

Go and comfort friends in their saddest hour and you will have friends for life.
