Debts and payments

Grace, mercy and peace to you.

When we borrow money
We plead
When it’s time to pay
Other’s just recede
Forgetting promises
Losing friends

Debts, as long as they are paid, won’t affect friendships or relationships. It is when a debt is forgotten and the debtor pretends to forget they owe you something that will ruin trust and friendship. When you are in debt, try to pay on time, but if you can’t, inform your creditor why you can’t settle your debt on the specified time.

Your creditor will understand the first time you will default on your payment and you have notified them about it, but if you continue failing to do so without talking with them, you will lose credibility.

Helping others by letting them borrow money should not be allowed with interest in payment because you are not really helping them that way. Lend without  interest and pay without fail. It is because of borrowers who don’t honor their words, that moneylenders got the idea of putting interest in the money they lend out because if they don’t, they will lose their hard earned money. Although, there are some who have usurious rates, there are others  whose interest are just enough, like the interest that they will get if they have deposited their money in the bank which is not a safe institution for savings nowadays.

Honor your words when you borrow money from someone and you won’t find yourself desperately looking for those who will help you when you are in dire need. Trust in one another is important, preserve that trust by being credible, honest and sincere.
