Obey, do not delay

Grace, mercy and peace to you.

Obedience is prompt action ,not prolonged hesitation.

Message for Oct. 27, 2011.

Obedience as I’ve always told you require immediate action, not prolonged hesitation. What happens if you disobey? Grace is delayed to someone in need and you don’t receive the blessings that ought to be yours, if you have just obeyed.

Hesitating means you don’t trust the One who is giving you the orders, that you are proud of yourself in thinking you deserve a better assignment. Just like Jonah, the prophet from Nineveh in the Old Testament, do not take it upon yourself to choose your assignment. Obey what is ordered and do not question why I have given you such an assignment. What counts is your obedience, not your queries for you don’t have the right to ask them of Me.

The value of time and obedience

While copying the daily Bible readings for June 13 up to June 30 from EWTN, I came across these beautiful sayings from St. Augustine.

"God would not urge us to ask, unless He were willing to give."

"If God seems slow in responding, it is because He is preparing a better gift. He will not deny us. God witholds what you are not yet ready for. He wants you to have a lively desire for His greatest gifts. All of which is to say, pray always and do not lose heart."

Check the EWTN site for more beautiful daily reflections.

Value time as if you have no tomorrow, cherish each moment as if it is your last.

When doing your assignment, do not procrastinate, obey immediately because time doesn't wait for no one. Although, I control the time and have made provisions in case some of my soldiers will fail to do their assignment on time, I am saddened at how some take their instructions lightly.

Why don't they have a high regard for the highest authority just because I am unseen? For sure, if I am the head of their offices, they will obey all instructions with alacrity post haste. For human leaders, you jump at the snap of their fingers, but for me, you lie down first or do something else before finally doing what I ask of you to do.

Be like Mary, Joseph and all the other saints who obeyed immediately and said, "thy will be done."
Is it so difficult to expect from My children now? Have they drifted far apart from Me or have they taken Me for granted?

Obedience is all I ask of you, please do so immediately and wholeheartedly.

Obedience

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Obedience to my instructions everyday is a learning experience, if you just keep in your heart to obey your Master all the time without question because you trust the one who commands you. At first, you will find it hard to obey just like a little child who doesn't want to let go of a cheap toy because you are afraid that you might not have a toy if you give it to your parents, not knowing you will be given a much more expensive toy.

Learn to let go when the time comes to let go because the Lord is ready to replace it with something very new and expensive. Do you see the logic? When you have learned how to use something masterfully, this will be taken away and replaced by something more beautiful, more complicated. Each time a season is over for someone or something, learn to let go with grace because you will be given something more beautiful and worth your while for the season that it will be yours.

Obey my instructions and you will have much more than you expected and experience much more than you have ever dreamed of. Obedience deserves the rightful reward.
