Don’t be in a hurry to accomplish your dreams. There is a time and a season for everything.  Avoid rushing in to pitfalls that you might just regret later. 

Learn to wait for the right opportunity and while waiting, pray that you will have the wisdom to recognize the chance that is meant for you.

Message for Nov. 3, 2011

Persevere in your prayers, meaning you don’t allow a day without spending  time with your  God. You don’t have to pray long novenas or litanies, a simple prayer that comes from your heart is enough.  A sincere prayer is most often answered readily than memorized prayers that  are automatically prayed. 

Too often  memorized prayers are said only through the lips while the mind wanders, they are just mechanical movement of the lips, like a parrot imitating the words of its master. Daily, offer Me your prayers, give time to our time, don’t forget it in the busyness of your day.

Daily I pray to Thee

How I love to sit on your knee

Telling you everything in my heart

Knowing you will never depart

From a soul struggling still

To obey your perfect will

Daily prayer brings you close to Me, make your prayer time a part of your daily routine. Starting early is good, because there will be few distractions and you haven’t done anything yet to start your day, so you can receive My directions.

Make it a daily habit to wake up early and commune with Me.

Waiting while praying

Waiting for something you've been praying for inevitably brings about a change in your perspective of how much you want that thing you are coveting and how much it matters to you if you will have it. The passage of time will either wane your longing for that person or thing or it will increase your fervor.

Either of the result brings about changes in you too, of maturing or bitterness. If you have matured in your attitude, well and good. That is the perfect time for you to have what you've been longing and praying for. If you grew bitter, then it is not the right thing for you to have.

The favors that you are praying for should not bring about bitterness, envy or hatred. You should pray for things that will develop or enhance your personality as a child of God.

Be careful then of what you pray for, if it won't do you any good if it won't be granted to you, how much more if it will be given to you? You see, if you become bitter for not having something or someone, your inner motives must be questionable to bring about such strong negative reactions. But, if it makes you kinder, more patient and more understanding while waiting for your petitions to be granted, your motives are not selfish because you are willing to change for the better to have what you want.

I can see the hearts and read your minds, there is nothing hidden from Me, so I give to those who have sincere and truthful hearts the favors that they pray for because I am certain that they won't change for the worse if they are granted their wishes.

Be careful of what you pray for, it might change you for the worse.

Praying with perseverance

Sometimes when I pray for something for over a month and it isn't granted, I stop praying for it altogether. I would think maybe God doesn't want me to have it. Now, I realize that I don't have the right to set a deadline for God to grant my wish, He will grant it His perfect time. I have dreams that were granted after 3, 5 and the longest is 20 years, actually most of them were silent wishes that I never really prayed for while some were dreams that I thought were not meant for me. Prayer should be consistent, persistent but always letting God do what is best.

Perseverance and persistence in prayer life are two traits needed in My church. Some of you give up praying because you set a time limit for Me to answer your petitions. Having a time-line for the Almighty is like instructing your servant to finish a task.

I AM not your servant and I see the view from eternity. Whatever I grant to My children affects not only you and your families but everyone. It will have a ripple effect whether you know it or not. From high above the heavens, I can see what these effects will be, so I give grants to prayer requests in their perfect time.

There is a season for everything. Don't be in a hurry because your time is different from My time.
